first thoughts on Fisher?
Quite unfortunately I prematurely left the theatre lastnight ignorant of the fact that the Fisher film was the second, and not the first film! Anyways, for those of you who actually got to watch, any initial thoughts before tomorrow's session?

His presentation was quite controversial but informative.I had a few laughs as well. Great documentary! A must see.
ReplyDeleteThe film was researched and documented in South Africa. It seeked to answer the question: Why do people use it? He interviwed a few Herbal Doctors who claim to have cured cancer and increase the levels in HIV/AIDS victims. They argued that these diseases are caused by a virus which can be cured through natural medicine.
ReplyDeleteA question was rasied from the auduience was that in the Caribbean herbal medicine is also connected with the obeah.
Heavy stuff! But overall, it is a great film and family orientated.
